Washington III: That Old Time Relgion

The National Cathedral is a cathedral and, well, national, and an odd jumble of the churchy and non-churchy. The guides emphasized that it was for all Americans. It was a surprise to find out that we’re all Episcopalian.

So we have a sculpture of a guy with a big ol’ rifle next to the votive candles, some poor design choices and acknowledgement that some of our history really sucked. I was pressed for time and, as my mother said, we had seen “better cathedrals” I got photo evidence and high-tailed it out of there.

This is the "not-churchy" part

In space there is no one to hear you scream, What the hell is that?

Wait--they said this was the way to the bathroom...
