I'm Trying to Figure Out What Happened

I asked Dirk the cranky computer guy if he would take a look at the SAALI program to see if he can find the problem. He said that with a software program in development that he’d never seen, heard of, and didn't know its purpose that “taking a look” would be as useful as smacking the computer on the side. He’s still going to look, though, which shows he’s not so very cranky.

I’m going to have to do a story summary myself. This is irritating. I haven’t been following what’s going on, so I have to go back through all of these postings to see what I can pull together. There was something about monkeys. Add to that that things keep happening even as I look back to see what’s already happened. That sounds familiar…. It would be easier if this was reality, but then I’d have to rely on my memory and that’s a different and special problem.

I’m trying to remember last week. I don’t have enough coffee in my system, and I haven’t replaced the espresso machine. Just plain old coffee for now.

One of this week’s anticipated problems is that Bethann, our new accountant, told me that we have to set up a meeting because I have a number of problems, and they’re not just financial. Like I couldn’t have told her that. And I got a call from the head of the Central California Sartre Society and he, too, would like to meet with me. His name is Aureliano Jose. I’m not kidding—I asked him twice. I got a creepy feeling when I talked to him. I suspect that he knows what he’s doing.

Beware of what you don’t ask for.
